🍷 Guild Wars 2 Classes For Beginners
Thief Stealth. Stealth is what sets Thief apart from other classes in Guild Wars 2. Thief has access to a long list of stealth attacks and stealth movement skills in addition to the The thief’s stealth utility skills. Stealth was once considered critical in dungeons, where a Thief can stealth their entire party through some of the worst mobs.
Sword/Sword or Sword/Focus and you'll be great.. maybe if you run staff or gs you'll feel like utility. but sword mainhand, you don't feel like a utilty player. it hits quite hard. and so does the phantasm. focus phantasm reflects projectile while also doing damage. sword phantasm dashes in, does damage, dashes out and repeat.
In general, the balance in Guild Wars 2 is currently very balanced and almost all classes are playable in all areas. If you are looking for a general beginner’s guide for GW2, you will find it here: Guild Wars 2 Guide for beginners and returnees – Everything about the MMORPG in 2023.
Crafting is not a way to make money in this game. It's a way to craft end-game account bound gear and items. You will eventually want all the crafting disciplines unlocked across your account; it doesn't matter which character has which disciplines.
This was tough. Every one of the Guild Wars 2 classes split over all the areas of the MMO - Like dungeons, PvP, WvW I really love them all - but which des
New player : Welcome. You will see lot's of people telling you that Elementalist is a very difficult class to play & that you should avoid it at begin. Thats half true. It's one of the most complex class, but it's totally playable for beginners. I myself started as Elementalist at release in 2012, was new to MMO, and it really enjoyed it.
For example, the condi scourge is meta and has similar play style to warlocks or dark mages.. using curses and/or punishments. And there's druid used for healing parties. One thing about gw2 is the name and aesthetic of the class Can be highly different from the actual play style in meta build of the class.
Elixir Gun. Hard Light Arena. Elite Mortar Kit. You can add another optional Utility to your bar based on your personal preference or what feels best for you. Options for this include the Thumper
Classes suggested for beginners, would probably be Warrior, Guardian, Ranger, and Necromancer. Elementalist or Theif could also be a good choice, but play a little different than usual. Mesmer, Engineer, or Revenant, are probably the most complex classes. Race unfortunately will not affect much more than personal story.
Request: A Beginner's Guide to GW2 Professions. I am a relatively new player and I am currently wondering what the situation/meta each profession is currently in. I read that the warrior is the best starter so that is the class I have been playing. However I am trying to decide on a new profession and I am having some trouble choosing.
Avoid Mesmer, Engineer, and Elementalist. #1. Ashrala Dec 3, 2022 @ 4:36pm. Necromancer is a popular beginner class, not too complex, easy to learn. I started with and mained an Elementalist like forever, it's just more fun for some people to start and stick with a complex class I guess, I'm a weirdo that way. #2.
Reaper is better and easier to play for a beginner imo. Reaper Shroud gives you a second life bar, and I overall find them to be just a little more tanky and bursty than scourge. Scourge still works fairly well though, and if you like the looks of it more, it's still very playable as a beginner. 12. tomaz1989.
